PLAN YOUR STAY →Bearwood Cabin is tucked into Chalet Village near Ober Mountain. Far enough from town to feel secluded, but close enough to get there quickly. In summer, enjoy access to the nearby community pool, gym, tennis courts, and more—all within walking distance. In winter, Ober Mountain offers skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and other activities. The pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and the operating hours of other club amenities can vary by season.

Ride the Ober Mountain gondola 300 feet above the treetops toward downtown Gatlinburg. It’s possible to walk from the cabin and ride the gondola to and from Gatlinburg, all without getting in your car! Call ahead for opening and closing times before planning a car-free trip.

The downstairs game room has a pool table, a Pac-Man arcade machine loaded with more than 60 retro games, plus card games and board games. There are also eight TVs throughout the cabin, including one in each of the five private bedrooms.
Guests have access to Chalet Village Owners Club amenities, including a gym, tennis courts, game-room activities, and a seasonal swimming pool. The pool is generally open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Rare for Gatlinburg, the cabin has a large, flat driveway with a circular turnaround that has room for several vehicles. Use caution near the edge of the driveway when turning.
It’s not called Bearwood Cabin for nothing! Black bears are part of the Smokies experience and are often seen around the cabin and surrounding area. Enjoy watching them from a safe distance, never approach or feed them, and never leave food unattended outdoors.
Yes. The private seven-person hot tub sits on the lower deck, surrounded by trees.
The kitchen includes cookware, a drip coffee maker, and a Keurig. There’s also a gas grill with a timer, plus indoor and outdoor dining spaces.
